Réflections… réflexions
[Immersive movie / 2005-2007 / 13 minutes / Jean Ranger / Society for Arts and Technology]
Chantre composed the music for the immersive movie Réflections…réflexions. Within a contemplative vision inspired by the city of Rio de Janeiro emerges a series of silhouettes, organic entities and human essences co-existing within fictional landscapes. The project addresses the notions of unconscious intuition and telepathy between humans and their environment. A non-linear naration exposes a pulsating language that alternates between natural and urban spaces, technological networks and trains of thought.
This movie was created for a cyclorama; a giant cylinder-like screen which offers a 360 degree perspective. The music and sound design was created for a 8.1 multichannel system.

Created in the context of an artist residence at the Society for Arts and Technology, Montreal, Canada.

Chantre a composé la musique et créé la conception sonore pour le film Réflections…réflection. À travers une vision contemplative inspirée librement de la ville de Rio de Janeiro viennent se greffer une série de silhouettes, d’entités organiques et d’essences humaines co-existant dans de faux paysages. Le projet traite des phénomènes d’intuition et de télépathie inconscientes entre les humains et leur environnement. Une narration non linéaire propose un langage vibratoire qui alterne entre des espaces naturels et urbains, des réseaux technologiques et des courants de pensées.
Film réalisé pour un cyclorama; un écran géant et cylindrique de 360 degrés. La musique et la conception sonore du projet est conçue pour un système multicannal 8.1.
